The validation phase of the project has finished

The contents of the Areyoufine? course have been based on the previously identified needs of the end users of the course. These needs have been clearly identified through a study of 458 specialists related to functional assessment. To guarantee the quality of the contents of the course a double validation phase has been developed. The first validation was carried out by external experts in functional assessment, who have validated the contents in four languages: Spanish, Italian, English and Polish. The second validation has been the realization of a pilot course aimed at relevant end users of different professional sectors: forensic doctors, medical experts, medical experts from insurance companies, lawyers, etc. The Pilot Course has involved 149 students, of whom 63 have completed the course and 60 have successfully passed the relevant tests and exams, obtaining the final Certificate.

This work is part of the activities promoted by the project “Areyoufine?” (Training in assessment of bodily injury based on biomechanical analysis to improve the sustainability and effectiveness of the health system), funded by the European Commission under Grant Agreement No 2015 -1 – ES01 – KA202 – 016294.

15 marzo e 26 maggio 2017 – Aula Magna, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna,
P.zza Martiri della Liberta’ 33 – Pisa

The Areyoufine E-learning platform and the Pilot course have been launched in a dissemination event, which took place by Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna in the context of 2 seminars organised in Pisa by Dr. Denise Amram and Dr. Luca Nocco.
On March 15th, the need of interdisciplinary skills on personal injury damages evaluation has been highlighted through 6 interesting talks by scientific collaborators of the International Observatory on Personal Injury Damages, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna Pisa. Participants had the opportunity to enrol to the pilot course, currently online to test the training programme “Areyoufine?”.
In addition, on May 26th forensic scientists and lawyers will discuss new trends on personal injury damages in a roundtable. Then trainees will attend specific workshops organised on the issues related to the interplay between law, biomechanics, and legal medicine in personal injury damages compensation.
